About Betsy MacDonald
Betsy spent 20 years instructing the realtors’ licensing course for the Ontario Real Estate Association. This was a fantastic opportunity to be able to stay connected to an industry and profession she loves while being able to raise her 3 children.
Twenty-three years ago, enthusiasm for selling and listing real estate took over and a new era began when Chestnut Park welcomed Betsy as an agent. Betsy initially focused on Lawrence Park since she lived there but through the years and her experiences living across the city in the Annex, Beaches and now Riverdale, it is fair to say that Betsy’s knowledge and expertise really cross the entire city of Toronto. Betsy’s transactions have embraced smaller properties under $400,000 to $17,000,000. Her aim is to get you settled efficiently and with a clear path to your ideal destination.
The real estate business encompasses the entire gamut of human experience. Many moves are exciting and fulfilling while some are agonizing and emotional. She believes that if she can smooth the path for you, then her work is done.
Part of why Betsy chose to join Chestnut Park was that she liked that the team effort at Chestnut Park ensures that our clients are exposed to both actively listed properties and those that are “quietly” on the market. Our clients’ circumstances occasionally dictate the implementation of this approach. Rather than having their property listed through the Board and exposed to the 58,000 members of it, sometimes they opt for a ‘soft approach’. Our clients who want and need this specialized form of marketing and the privacy it ensures, are very relieved to have the insights and resources of Chestnut Park.
Betsy has a bachelors’ degree from the University of Toronto and her broker’s license from Ontario.
